The Merck Gastroenterology product range contains a wide variety of products aimed at helping you satisfy the needs of your patients where enteral feeding is required. As well as our impressive range, we also supply these products in a large variety of different lengths and sizes so that you have the right product in the right size to support your choice of treatment for the patient.

The designs of the products are based upon customer and patient needs, and are further developed in response to these changing demands.
Development is alsobased on the changing guidance of NICE and feedback from such national bodies as BAPEN and the NNNG.

In March 2007, The National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), issued a patient safety alert (No19), aimed at promoting safer measurement and
administration of liquid medicines via oral and other enteral routes. Since then, and following advice from our customers, we have redesigned our enteral feeding devices to give you peace of mind by ensuring NPSA
compliance across the full range and thus reducing the risk of wrong route errors.

All of our Fine Bore Feeding Tubes are labelled as Single Patient Use devices. This means that the tubes can be re-passed on the same patient provided that the tube to be re-passed has maintained its functionality and integrity.

Furthermore, all our devices are both DEHP- and latex-free and manufactured in a latex-free environment. We also recognise the importance and value of training, education and support within gastroenterology and, as part of our continued commitment to our customers, we offer a wide range of services from
tailor-made training packages to patient advice materials.
